RAINBOW LAKE

June 2025 Update

Funded by the Rainbow Lake Conservation Company, in April the Show Low Irrigation Company replaced 1,600 feet of open ditch with 24” pipe to stop years of leakage, seepage, and water theft.  Now less water needs to be withdrawn from the lake for irrigation. The Irrigation Company reports that they are now taking less than 50% of the water they used to take from Rainbow Lake with no change to water share owners' water supply. The result is, even after 2 months of withdrawing water for irrigation, the lake remains full! Thank you to all of you who have donated so generously!

There is so much more to do! After spending almost $300,000 on the recently completed piping project, RLCC has about $240,000. This will not be enough to complete projects like rebuilding the weir dam, head gate replacement, dredging the lake, boulder removal, etc.
